Steve's interest in my needs as a customer is what set Geelong Solar Energy apart from the rest.
Every other company i engaged for a quotation tried to sell me a 6.6kw system, however i had other plans for a greater consumption. Steve let me explain my plans and offered his expertise in consult.
We went all in and designed the biggest system my roof could accommodate.
The boys were very friendly and efficient and put the system together in under 6 hours, if i hadn't known they were coming, i wouldn't have been able to tell as they left the yard as tidy as they found it.
The system looks neat and they were timely on the day.
Would highly recommend Steve and the boys to anyone looking to install a system in the greater Geelong area.

We were concerned with the appearance of the installation, and through a site visit Steve was able to come up with a solution that we hadn't thought of - or been suggested by the multiple other companies we had spoken to - that means the entire installation is almost invisible.
The guys that did the installation were also first class.
They further refined the details to suit our needs, and all the workmanship is as good as I've seen.
The price/kw was the same as another quote we received, but we were confident they would do a good job and we weren't let down.

We have just had a 5Kw system installed by Geelong Solar Energy and Steve Moriarty in particularly. We found Steve by default as a result of asking for a quote to compare with another supplier who had failed to impress.
From the first telephone call it was obvious that Steve is committed to his customers, industry and to the Geelong region. He offered to visit and quote within 24 hours and presented a sensible and straight forward approach to our needs. He was fastidious in dealing with Powercor to get the best system installed to fulfil our power needs. He made a firm date for the installation and arrived with two Electricians who made the installation to a very high standard – his team are excellent tradesmen and produced a fine result. Steve has followed up at every stage of the installation particularly with his after sales care with regard to demonstrating the Inverter/Smart meter and arranging relevant inspections etc. We have no hesitation in recommending Steve and his Company Geelong Solar Energy Pty Ltd – he delivers what he promises and they are a pleasure to deal with.

Hi Steve,
I thought you might like to know how the 6kW system you installed for us back in June last year is travelling.
Since switch-on back on June 28, it has produced an average daily output of 23.6kWhr with a highest recorded reading of 40 on Dec 10. It has produced a total of 4880kWh ($1200 worth), of which 3180 have been exported to the grid.
Our metered consumption during this time has been 3100 of power and 1270 of hot water, so basically all we’re paying for is hot water. We ran the heater 24/7 for a lot of the winter, which we don’t normally do, so returning to “normal” would probably see most of the hot water consumption covered as well!
We are very happy with the outcome!!!

Panel alignment - north facing roof with a 20 deg pitch
These figures show a better return for our money than the one's we used ( 18 kw/ day ) when making our original purchase.

We found Steve and Geelong Solar Energy online, and are very happy we did. After lots of research into panels and inverters it was time to find an installer.
We looked at the 'usual suspects' made a few phone calls. When I called Steve he was very accommodating on the phone and knew what he was talking about, he spoke to us in both technical and layman's terms so we knew exactly what he was communicating to us.

The whole experience of looking for a solar power supplier was hell. Many suppliers I contacted did not reply and just did not seem interested.
